Zero Motorcycles Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Senior Logistics Specialist to join our supply chain team in Scott’s Valley, CA. The successful candidate will oversee 3PL execution of our outbound and inbound shipments and 3PL warehouse management. In addition, he/she will own data analytics, track, and manage 3PL and internal shipping KPI’s, and report on metrics. The successful candidate is self-driven and motivated to solve problems and drive solutions in a fast-paced environment. This position is a full-time onsite role in Scott’s Valley, CA reporting to the Logistics Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee 3PL carriers to ensure on-time execution of shipments.
  • Act as the Logistics Control Tower for Service Parts Distribution worldwide.
  • Facilitate weekly 3PL operational reviews / perform onsite warehouse visits as needed.
  • Coordinate cost effective transportation for finished goods motorcycles to the customers.
  • Ensure visibility and traceability of all in-transit material and finished goods.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics operations. This includes analyzing logistics costs and shipping lanes, identifying areas of improvement, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement change.
  • Drive process improvement to support cost reduction and customer satisfaction.
  • Influence performance by providing guidance and support to factory and 3PL shipping teams.
  • Analyze large data sets to identify areas of opportunity for company improvement.
  • Create data-driven reports and support/lead the development of relevant dashboards.
  • Work alongside Logistics Compliance and Customs Brokers to ensure regulatory conformance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact global logistics operations. Develop contingencies.
  • Provide a strong customer service focus.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business/Economics, Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a logistics analyst, specialist, or logistics engineering role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
  • Enthusiastic, well-organized, and driven with the ability to adapt to ambiguity.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
