Job description

Zero Motorcycles is seeking a highly motivated Senior or Lead Material Handler to join our supply chain team in Scott’s Valley, CA.  The successful candidate prioritizes customer order fulfillment by executing the order receipt through the shipping process.  The main duties of the candidate include loading and unloading material, performing the pick and pack processes, and creating the labeling and shipping documents for hand-off to the driver.  Additional duties include maintaining accurate inventory in the warehouse and regularly interacting with internal customers to ship and/or receive materials.  This position is a full-time onsite role in Scott’s Valley, CA reporting to the supervisor/manager of Logistics. 

Job requirements

What you will do:

  • Pick, pack and palletize motorcycle parts and accessories for outbound shipments

  • Schedule carrier pick-ups for outbound customer orders or warehouse transfers

  • Complete shipping documents including commercial invoices, bills of ladings and pick lists

  • Interact with carriers, load and unload trailers as required

  • Receive, unpack, and put-away inbound materials within the warehouse

  • Utilize handheld scanners and laptop computers to support operational processes

  • Fulfill internal material requisition or work orders as assign from warehouse inventory

  • Manage shipping/receiving consumable supplies and reorder as required

  • Perform daily inventory cycle counts per the required schedule

  • Work with internal departments and logistics carriers on a frequent basis 

  • Other duties as assigned

What you will bring:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

  • Must be able to read and write in English

  • At least two to three years of experience as a material handler or shipping/receiving coordinator

  • Forklift certification with the ability to utilize pallet jacks, hand trucks or other handling equipment

  • Computer knowledge with proven Excel skills and experience using Windows/MS Office

  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours/day including lifting, bending and squatting

  • Physical ability to lift up-to 50 pounds throughout the day

  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks, in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a problem-solving mindset

  • Adaptable and flexible to pivot on priorities and handle unexpected situations

  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with all stakeholders

The estimated pay range for a new hire in this position is $58,000 - $65,000 Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to regular salary, Zero offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) matching plan.
