Job description
Zero Motorcycles is looking for a highly capable and detail-oriented Senior Finance Manager to support the Global Finance Director in managing the financial health and operational effectiveness of our organization. You will play a critical role in global financial reporting, planning, and process improvement, while managing a team of finance professionals. This role requires strong technical finance skills, team leadership, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes in collaboration with department heads.
Business partner to the COO
Deliver timely and insightful financial analysis to support decision-making across the business.
Monitor financial performance against plans and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Dutch GAAP / IFRS.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting to internal stakeholders and external parties.
Assist with statutory audits, tax filings, and compliance with local financial regulations.
Operational Finance
Manage day-to-day financial operations including general ledger, payroll support, and cash management.
Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and systems.
Collaborate with other departments to support business efficiency and financial discipline.
Team Leadership
Manage and develop a team of finance and accounting professionals.
Set team objectives, ensure strong performance, and foster a collaborative working environment.
Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members.
Systems & Process Optimization
Support the implementation and optimization of financial systems (e.g., ERP upgrades, AI enablement and other solutions).
Identify and lead initiatives to improve reporting, automation, and accuracy.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
Professional qualification (RA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or similar) is a strong plus.
7+ years of relevant international finance experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
Solid understanding of Dutch GAAP and IFRS; experience in multinational or mid-sized companies preferred.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP); strong Excel and data analysis skills.
Fluent in English; Dutch proficiency is a plus.
